Have you ever thought about how the various components of your organization’s public face overlap and work together? WebTrax thinks about it constantly. As we say on our “About Us” page:
Like a symphony, where all instruments work in harmony to produce something greater than the sum of its parts, WebTrax Studio views its variety of services as core concepts to a successful project. Website design, Internet marketing, and print marketing serve as core pieces of a well-designed marketing and messaging campaign.
Sounds like a good idea, right? But it can be surprising how often these elements aren’t thought of as part of a whole, or how they can even contradict each other if they aren’t addressed in a thoughtful and constructive manner.
Much of the time, a business or non-profit will hire separate companies to handle different sides of their public face. One company will be hired to design and build their website, while an altogether different company will be brought on board to devise a marketing strategy. Perhaps yet another firm will handle graphic design. And so it goes.
Are all of these components working together? Does the person working on your business’ “look and feel” know what your web developer is doing? There are plenty of capable and experienced designers and web development firms who know how to work together, but quite frequently they simply aren’t talking to each other.
We’ve all seen the results of this: Websites where the graphics simply look off-kilter or ill-fitting in relation to the site. Sites whose navigation or layout overtakes the beautiful illustrations or designs. In fact, the internet is full of pages (of varying levels of attractiveness themselves) dedicated just to highlighting bad or poorly designed websites! (Check them out here, here, here and here. That's just for starters.)
Likewise, there are too many examples of marketing strategies that don’t take into account the great features of a company’s website, or those whose graphics don’t match those on the website or elsewhere.
This is why one of WebTrax’s greatest strengths is its versatility. Our team includes talented players: award-winning graphic designers, web developers, content and copywriters, marketing experts. And, crucially, we know how to communicate and work with each other. We do it all because that’s what your business requires. Our client and friend Paula Kamen backs this up in her recent testimonial:
Clients regularly comment about how attractive and clean it looks, and how easy is for them to use. That is a result of Estelle taking much time to talk to me and understand how my business works -- and then incorporating that knowledge in the basic design. For example, she had the idea to build a very intuitive separate menu for client actions (order form, uploading files to transcribe and payment). In the past, those options were scattered throughout the site and were confusing to locate.
When all the pieces of your public face are working in harmony, you can reach your goals. And when you reach your goals, great things happen.
We’d like to be a small part of that.
